Ryan Ockey to transition to Executive Chair; Cardel Group of Companies names Craig Collin President and CEO
The Cardel Group of Companies has announced that Ryan Ockey will retire as President and CEO after more than four decades with Cardel. He will transition to Executive Chair. Craig Collin has been appointed President and CEO, effective October 5, 2026.
As Executive Chair, Ockey will work with Collin and the Board to support Cardel’s long-term growth and strategy.
“On behalf of the Board, I want to express our profound gratitude to Ryan for his transformational leadership of Cardel over a career tenure spanning over 40 years,” said Andrew Ross, Chair of the Cardel Board of Directors. “Bringing a leadership philosophy focused on family, faith and community, Ryan has created immense value in the Cardel brand through the homes built, the neighborhoods created and the relationships formed in the communities Cardel serves. His strategic and visionary insights have grown Cardel from a small Calgary custom homebuilder to a company that has built more than 20,000 homes in over 150 communities spanning four regions in two countries.”

Collin has served as an Independent Director on Cardel’s Board since January 2025. He spent close to 25 years with PulteGroup, holding a number of positions before becoming Division President for New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Most recently, Collin has spent nine years as President of Tavistock Development Company, where he has led a real estate platform that includes office, residential, multi-family, hospitality, retail and industrial assets.
